As a part of his Post no Bills event in Venice CA, recently, Ron English paid a visit to a local Ralph’s supermarket with some custom cereal boxes pictured above.  The caption for this photo on English’s site reads, “Find a box, send it to Ron and he’ll sign it.”

The latest limited edition MTN arrives in a can splashed with a scantily clad gun-toting cowgirl, courtesy of artist Ron English. English, whose work typically explores (and exploits) the worlds of advertising and brand imagery, talks about some of his latest work in the following video. Large images of Marilyn Monroe, skulls, and installations fill his studio as he discusses painting vs. silkscreening, running from the cops, little kids as muses, and going through hundreds of paint brushes a week.

Zarkana, a new show with a related art project by Cirque Du Soleil, has released a new print by Ron English. It is the third and final in a series, which has also included work by Travis Louie and Tara McPherson. English chose the Jovian character for his piece, inspired by Munch’s “The Scream,” which translates well to the pop surrealists aesthetic.

Plastic and Plush share news of the latest Ron English toy collaboration. “ZacPac has announced Ron English’s newest vinyl toy – Mousemask Murphy in Airplane Stealth Version. Based on Ron’s artwork, this piece stands in at 6.5″ tall. It will debut at the upcoming Popaganda in Japan show in early July, will be available on ZacPac’s website following that, and should show up at Toy Tokyo’s San Diego Comic Con booth. This version is limited to only 100 pieces, so I’m guessing they’ll be in short supply come SDCC.tion.”
