HERE COMES THE NEIGHBORHOOD is a Short-Form Docuseries exploring the power of Public Art and innovation to uplift and revitalize urban communities. The Pilot Season revolves around the Arts District of Wynwood Miami, featuring an array of internationally acclaimed and locally respected Street Artists, Graffiti Writers and Muralists.

It’s a well made series and the concept in Wynwood, Miami is impressive. The trailer and link to the rest of the series is after the jump.

Covington, KY won’t ring a bell. Nor will the town scream “street art.” However, these snaps shared by Wooster Collective caught my eye. The underlying idea is fun, and the application worthy of recognition.

Art School Vets notes this inventive installation by Candy Chang. The artist and urban planner has transformed the walls of boarded homes in New Orleans into a giant blackboard. On this board, neighbors and passerby can note their life goals and wishes. A sound collaborative and participatory idea.
