In place of the JR mural that went up in June of this year, Faile has now taken over the notorious space on Houston Street, next to Billy’s antiques. The Brooklyn based troupe, Faile, is the latest of a long line of greats to put up work in that spot. Other recent pieces have included Kenny Scharff, Shepard Fairey and Os Gemeos. Blu recently completed a new mural in Greece. The piece depicts the ancient Greek temples with columns built of stacked coins, tumbling over. Pretty poignant commentary on the current financial situation in that country. More photos after the jump.

Satone recently completed a large mural in Warsaw dubbed “Lungful.” Satone commented on the piece stating, “Being invited to take part in the ‘StreetArtDoping’-Festival.

Set to open this Fall, the new West Hollywood Library will feature decorative murals from three street art legends – Shepard Fairey, Kenny Scharf, and RETNA. Fairey’s mural melds preexisting studio imagery with local suggestions that reflect the WeHo neighborhood. Scharf and RETNA adorn spaces on the library’s parking garage structure.

Up in Massachusetts, Project SF was recently commissioned by Vitamin Water to paint a large mural in the Fourth Wall space for their Uncapped event series in Boston. The mural will be the backdrop for multiple events over the next month including a Ray Allen event and a concert featuring local
rock band Viva Viva.
