Christopher Glancy works as Curator of Projects for MNMNT Snowboards and BODEGA Wall Vinyl. Essentially, his task it to connect artists to these commercial ventures. Both companies share a similar interest in making art accessible and public.

Intrigued by Glancy’s work… and the range of his projects… I connected with him for a quick Q&A covering his background and his thoughts on the inherent epherality of snowboard graphics. Please find his responses after the jump.

Director Tim Burton is subject of a retrospective by the Department of Film at MOMA starting on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Over his 27 year career, Burton has given the world films like Edward Scissor Hands, Beetle Juice, and Alice in Wonderland. The exhibition explores his influence over a generation of film makers and displays over 700 unique objects and drawings. Coolhunting interviewed curator Ron Magliozzi, a must for anyone interested in the background of the retrospective.

Film showings will compliment the installation throughout the run, which ends on April 26, 2010.

A principle in Abalos & Sentkiewicz Architects, Abalos is known for his push to integrate formal disciplines of architecture and landscape design. The video was made possible through the support of the Universidad Europea de Madrid.

On Friday (October 16, 2009), Lori Earley’s much anticipated Laments and Lullabies opens at London’s Opera Gallery. The exhibition features all new work, including “The Pinnacle,” a painting that took 6 months to complete. Laments and Lullabies will remain on view until November 14, 2009.

Opera Gallery is located at 134 New Bond Street, London, W1.

Ahead of the opening, Earley took some time out to answer a few questions and grant us preview of some of the work that makes up Laments and Lullibies. Read on to learn more about the artist and her painting.
