table contents 01 curatedmag Table of Contents by Paul Isabella

With a strong sense of craft, Paul Isabella’s Table of Contents explores color, texture and material juxtaposition. He’s utilized mdf, masonite and neoprene hard foam, carefully inlaying those against a beautiful walnut. It’s an uncommon combination, mirroring the odd shape of the table – neither rectangular nor round, forcing questions about correct usage.

Given the complexities, it is easy to forget the relative simplicity of the overall form. The table casts a nice shadow when all is said and done.

Hailing from Ireland, Claire-Anne O’Brien is a recent graduate of the Royal College of Art. Her work finds intersection in textiles and furniture, and in the case of the Knit Stools strikes the balance with undeniable charm.

About the stools -

Inspired by elements of the knitted stitch itself such as rings and loops, the structures are revealed and celebrated through exaggerated scale in bold and textured forms. Lambswool and Sheeps wool, in a mix of hand and machine knit stitches, are constructed into playful statement pieces.

This surprisingly sleek chaise by Thos. Moser was designed in 2000, a collaborative project between Tom and David Moser. The duo drew inspiration from mid-century European architecture but add a warm, New England feel by employing cherry wood rather than metal piping.
