Through October 22, Davie White’s “Americana” exhibit will show at Galleri Jules Julian in Copenhagen.From the gallery:

This series explores the iconography of ‘Americana’ from all aspects. Frozen moments with an undisclosed narrative, leave the viewer challenged, taking one back to childhood exposure to the violence and maelstrom of human emotions that the vintage movie ingrains on one’s soul.

The collection reflects the battle for survival, perfectly juxtaposed by the explosive application of paint, characteristically White’s technique. Precious metals such as platinum and gold leaf are overlaid to reinforce the power and magnificence of the subjects.

artrepublic (42 New Compton Street, London, WC2H 8DA) is to release a limited edition print of Dave White’s iconic Eagle painting through its Soho gallery on Thursday 28th July.

Taken from White’s acclaimed Americana series, Eagle will be produced in a standard edition (83×73cm on aquarelle, £500), and in an edition to be hand finished in gold leaf by the artist (127×112cm on Somerset, £1500). Both editions will be available exclusively through artrepublic.

Next week Dave White will be opening his latest exhibition at The Conningsby Gallery in London.

Exploring iconic imagery of the Western Frontier, this exhibition highlights White’s ability to capture dynamic scenes with his distinctive impasto style, while presenting a pioneering approach to documenting the legacy of this era.

The exhibition will feature a series of new oils on canvas, works on paper and limited edition prints. Today we can already preview the two prints that will go on sale.

Inspired by the Harlem Globetrotters and the good old Stars and Stripes, painter Dave White has moved away from the canvas and produced a limited run of 23 Jordan 1s. These special shoes will go up for auction this weekend – yup, All Star Weekend in LA – and proceeds benefit WINGS for the Future and Inglewood High School in Los Angeles.

This April, Dave White will unveil his latest collection of paintings, Americana, at a solo exhibition in London.

Dave White’s Saturday Night Special comes from his larger Forgotten Alchemy series which highlights the inherent beauty of objects with little regard to function. This edition of the print is produced on Fabriano Artistico Paper and available numbered 14/50 from EditionedArt.

Dave White, famed for his large scale sneaker paintings, is currently in New York preparing a mural at AOL headquarters. White is one of 40 artists tapped for the AOL Artists initiative, each providing new inspiration and brand identity for the pioneering internet firm. Entitled “Rodeo Rider,” White’s work is specifically part of the “Americana-American West” series. Ironic, given his origins, but nonetheless well conceived.

Art Copenhagen 2010 opens today, September 17, and runs through the weekend, ending on September 19, 2010. Touted as the largest art fair in Scandinavia, the event draws some 75 galleries representing a global troop of contemporary artists.

Freshness previewed Dave White’s installation at Art Copenhagen yesterday. The painter is showing his new collection, Forgotten Alchemy. White’s work illustrates this post and more is scene after the jump.
