In celebration of its 58th issue, which celebrates them theme of color, Arkitip selected a group of artists to create whatever they wanted to using supplied Comex color.

“Artists will use the magazine as a medium to give the viewer a closer look at their created works. The selected artists were encouraged to dig deeper into their process to showcase the inner workings of their creations. The culmination of these efforts will spread across multiple Arkitip platforms.

Along with the printed issue edition we have shot a series of Chronicles to document the artist’s processes.  To round out the project, the release will be celebrated with installations of the featured artists created works at Project Space, in Los Angeles.”

Contributing artists include Aaron De La Cruz, Anthony Lister and Skypager. The opening reception is August 11, from 7-10p.m.

Rostarr for Curated by Arkitip features original artistry inspired by the 2009 Tour de France through which the artist explores the nature of competition between individuals, the energy and emotion of the race as it happens and, ultimately, the reward. The series of polymorphic paintings combines hard architectural lines with a soft palette of grey and a pop of orange, exemplifying a visual language Rostarr calls “Graphysics,” which characterizes the geometric dynamism found in his work.

Inaugurated in 2008, Incase Curated by Arkitip is one of the richest collaborative series melding product and street art. My friend Peter Williams has done a super job chronically the project in a new feature over at Highsnobiety. He speaks to the latest artist involved, Rostarr, and the two men most responsible for Incase Curated by Arkitip  – Damon Way and Scott A. Sant’Angelo. Read the feature here.

Arkitip once again managed to sit down with an interesting personality – artist/club owner/designer/clothing brand operator Andre from Paris. For sure an interesting episode to watch!

Arkitip has released their latest issue, No. 49, on which they worked with Peter Saville.

Arkitip No. 0049 will be a virtual catalog of Peter’s work including essays from Saville’s colleagues throughout his career. It will also include two original prints from the designer in an edition of 1500. The prints will be 12 x 12 inches on 100 lb. archival stock and will sit on top of the magazine inside a custom designed box carefully encasing the magazine and prints.

There are two sets, individually going for 50 USD and together you can have them for 75 USD. Take a look at the packaging after the jump.

Over the weekend we gave you first look at the fantastic upcoming Arkitip Issue 0048, in collaboration with artist Ryan McGinness. The issue now went on sale, limited to 2000 pieces worldwide.

Above you see the Ryan McGinness chronicle with further information on the issue. It comes packaged in a custom box created by Incase.

With much anticipation we are all waiting for the next issue of Arkitip, issue 48. This time they worked with Ryan McGinness.

Arkitip goes from one strength to the next in recent months and never strikes to surprise and yet come out with something more impressive than the previous time. Today they announced that there next issue will come in collaboration with artist Ryan McGinness and packaged once again by Incase.

Arkitip gives us a first teaser of their upcoming July ‘08 issue. They worked with Tommy Guerrero on a music issue. More info is not available for the moment, but we’ll keep you posted!

Artist Evan Hecox will soon be releasing a new print at Arkitip. The print comes in his usual style and pictures bikes. The print will be available in the Arkitip online store June 7th.
