The backyard BBQ just got a little more streamlined. The ExTempore barbeque by Extremis is a tableside grill equipped with a stainless steel lid and side rails on which to hang your grilling tools. The table accessory allows for the grill master to prepare a meal while interacting with his guests, which correlates with the Extremis, “tools for togetherness.”

Belgian furniture manufacture Extremis offered their latest, the “Hopper” table, at Interiur 2010. The simple movement from leg to seat creates a continuous line which informs both shape and function. Clearly, Extremis has simply modified the basic picnic table. Still, the contrast of metal and wood, and the flow of the line, freshens the form and makes a the “Hopper” table a bit special. (via Contemporist).

Today we came across the new book showcasing the various concept cars and motorcycles by Italian designer Franco Sbarro, entitled “Concept Cars”.

“The beauty of Sbarro’s conceptual aesthetic is that the results are always fully functional, albeit occasionally rather eccentric in appearance. Sbarro’s passion has always been sports cars and bikes, although recent projects have focused on two and three-wheeled solutions for urban mobility (with the emphasis on extreme performance).

Concept Cars is a fascinating summary of a career spent on the fringe of automotive extremism.” Via Wallpaper.

We enjoy the extremes that the designer presents. Most of these cars were built in the 70’s, looking at them today they remind you of action heroes and comic worlds, at least that’s what first came to mind for us, yet that was not the intention at the time and thus makes it so interesting today.

There’s no denying a well designed bench gets our hearts pumping. That’s why we’re grateful to our friends at Retro to Go for alerting us to the Tolt Furniture Set from Extremis. Now available at Nest, the set was designed by Michael Young. The short benches have wonderful curved edges and are made of robinia wood. More hightech Corian is used on the table top. Mixing traditional and new material to great effect, the set is perfect for homes with a bit of mixed decor.
