Google Earth Rugs by David Hanauer

Munich-born designer David Hanauer married technology and design by using Google Earth images for the from the Las Vegas and L.A. areas as the basis for his designs. As a result, the images create patterns that, when observed up close, reveal neighborhoods, streets, homes, and even the Google watermark left on some of the images. The concept puts in perspective the true repetition and patterns found in city planning and landscapes. Now you can stand on top of the world.
More images after the jump.
