Swiss studio Herzog and de Meuron have won the commission to design the new Grand Stade de Bordeaux. Now set for completion in 2015, the stadium will serve as home to local football club FC Girondins de Bordeaux and host a range of cultural events. The design connects directly with the local surroundings and includes landscaping by famed French landscape architect Michel Desvigne. More info at DesignBoom.
