29 April 2011, 16.34 | Posted in Art | No comments »
This week Icelandic artist Katrin Fridriks opened her first solo exhibition at Berlin’s Circleculture Gallery, along with Berlin’s Gallery Weekend. Casting a new light on our society and its dynamics, the artist presents a new series of works, using metallic colors, silver, gold, steel, cooper and aluminum. At the same time colorful splashes make up her work, which is inspired by the Far East, graffiti, her native Iceland and so much more. A mix of paintings and sculptures, also using canvas and paint, make up the new exhibition.
