Rough & Ready by Vanja Bazdulj

After finishing the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2008 and working for a few years as an architect, Vanja Bazdulj decided to explore and experiment with smaller scale objects that attracted her since forever. This lead to her moving to London to do a MA Furniture design in 2010 and pursuing the object-design calling.  The philosophy behind the work has always been about exploring materials out of context and presenting alternative solutions to object form and structure.  At this year’s Design Festivals in London: Tent, Vanja showcased her work for the first time and got some great responses. One of these examples is the Rough&Ready furniture morphology presented here. Current collection is composed from Mr. Easy (chair) and The Sidekick (stool).
