Tom Sachs “Stanley Kubrick Tape Measure”

Colette stocks an assortment of goods produced by contemporary artist Tom Sachs. All, as you might imagine, subvert readily available goods and add twists of humor and imagination. Take, for example, the “Stanley Kubrick Tape Measure.” Colette says, “The 25′ Stanley tape measure is an absolute necessity in any shop. Each tape measure is individually hand engraved by the artist. On the front is a trompe l’oeil sticker that duplicates Tom’s personal tape measure, so that you can build (or measure) great things too.”

The store has a limited number of tape measures, exactly one hundred, for sale at 250 euros a pop.
