London’s Signal Gallery is gearing up for a solo showing of new works by Danish street artist Armsrock. Drawn Towards the Present will be built around an installation featuring monumental drawings on rice paper. These large scale drawings, the base of Armsrock’s street pasting, are delicate figurative charcoals set in urban space. Armsrock is drawn to themes “on the edge of society” providing firm commentary on contemporary history and weighing in on the future of urban culture.
Drawn Towards the Present runs from June 3 to 19, 2010.
Signal Gallery, 96a Curtain Road, London, EC2.
Preview continues after the jump.
