V1 Gallery presents High Life by John Copeland
09 February 2010, 18.35 | Posted in Art | 3 comments »

High Life finds American Painter John Copeland exploring human relationships and interactions. His interest is in lifting the veil and documenting themes of malice, lust, power, pain, and joy. Copeland’s subjects are dark. They range from the biker to the bigot. They are faceless folks in detailed (yet abstract) form.
V1 Gallery will host the show, Copeland’s first in Denmark. Opening on February 20, it will run through March 20, 2010. For those in the States, Copeland’s work will be on view closer to home with V1 bringing new works to New York’s Volta Art Fair March 4 – 7, 2010.
Fliers for both events after the jump.
