The Lancaster collection was designed by Hong Kong-based Michael Young for Emeco.

Made of wood and aluminum, the chairs and tables employ the wood as support elements (i.e. legs) and translate the metal as seats and backs. For the table, the aluminum figures more as accent and is used as a bracket support. The collection is set for formal introduction in Milan this April. (via Dezeen).

Emeco primarily produces chairs in aluminum. 80% of the metal they use is recycled and the pieces are all hand made. The balance of wood and metal in this collection fits nicely with the core offerings of the brand, while offering a distinct design vision.
