Lord of the Logos: Designing the Metal Underground

Christophe Szpajdel’s dynamic logo design has helped set a distinct visual tone for heavy metal. Pulling from nature and the art deco, Szpajdel creates strong typographic identities, and with them hordes of fans among the metal faithful.
Lord of the Logos compiles much of Szpajdel’s work in a single volume. Fittingly the book is published to resembled a black prayer book. The graphic design is complemented by dark landscape images, working to contextualize the logos and explain the breadth of Szpajdel’s influences – which combine in the fluid integration of letter and visual element.

Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment

thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any tips and hints for beginner blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.
