Must applaud the Californai Heritage Museum for hosting a fitting exhibition. Skateboard: Evolution and Art examines the skateboard from 1950 to the present day. The exhibition is co-curated by Z-boy Nathan Pratt, with staff curator Michael Trotter. Jeff Ho, Skip Engblom, Tony Alva, Stacey Peralta, and Christian Hoisoi also lent a hand. In all there are 270 boards on display.

Catch it in Santa Monica (2612 Main Street) through May 30, 2010. (via Arktip).

A couple installation views after the jump.
