Kukula is based in Tel Aviv and draws inspiration from classical art and music. Her paintings are a studied balance of childhood innocence and dark narrative. For the past year, Kukula has been producing work for her next showing, Immortal Artifacts, and the resulting paintings exhibit larger, more elaborate scale than in the past.
Immortal Artifacts is Kukula’s first showing at Corey Helford Gallery (8522 Washington Ave, Culver City, CA). Opening on December 18, the show runs through January 9, 2010.

I can’t wait to see the full show for this one. Kukula is amazing. So sombre and mysterious, yet beautiful and innocent.
