Pitch Stool

Chicago native Nicolai Czumaj-Bront has been designing furniture since 2002. His concepts have been both personal (for his studio Beoform) and in the aid of work at Haworth. He’s been honored with a NeoCon Gold Award and won Design Within Reach’s “Chicago Furniture Now” competition in 2007.

The Pitch stool, seen above, is the designers latest release. Built of reclaimed wood, each individual stool has a distinct character. Czumaj-Bront designed the stool to be machine made, creating juxtaposition in the imperfections of the wood and perfect shaping of the stool. (via Yatzer).
