Kenny Scharf “Barberadise”

Honor Fraser will host Kenny Scharf’s Barberadise from September 12 to October 31, 2009. The exhibition brings new works combining acrylic paints, found objects, silk screens, and spray paints. Scharf is influenced by popular culture, particularly TV, and the figures of his youth find a home against 1950s newspaper clippings. The artist’s work can also be found in museum collections from the Guggenheim to the Whitney. (via Lamjc).
