Art Institute of Chicago | The Modern Wing

Opening this weekend, The Modern Wing at the Art Institute of Chicago is already receiving warm reviews. Importantly, these come on two fronts – architecturally and as gallery space. Both aspects are well represented in today’s New York Times with separate essays appearing on the two subjects. The expansion makes the Art Institute the second largest museum in the nation. More space, of course, means the opportunity to see more of the institutions collected gems. Head here and here to read the articles.
